Sandy Sanders
Sandy Sanders, also known as Robert Redford, is retired after 32 years with the Brodie Insurance Agency. Sandy and his lovely wife, Anne, are the proud parents of Lorraine Sanders Way and are the beaming grandparents of a 'brilliant' granddaughter. Sandy received his BS degree from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and earned his MBA from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. He was awarded the Club Honor Key in 1986, and was recognized as Civitan of the Year in 1992. Sandy served as the president of our club from 1964-65, and has over 42 years of perfect attendance. Gardening, reading, and rollerblading are just a few of the activities that capture Sandy's interest. He is also a member of the Master Gardeners of the Piedmont. Sandy is a lifelong resident of Spartanburg County and hopes Spartanburg will solve its annexation challenges to allow dynamic growth in our community. Sandy's family has greatly influenced his life. He also recognizes Mrs. Madge Rudd, his high school Physics teacher, for her positive mentoring. Sandy has been a cheerful and active member of Civitans 'forever' and continues to work closely with the Spartanburg High School Civinettes.
