Earl Rambow came home from the hospital Tuesday after under going major surgery. Word is that he is resting comfortably and is recovering nicely. Get well soon Earl!

CIVITAN OF THE WEEK
This Civitan is a native of Bethesda, Maryland and is the Pastor of Lamb of God Lutheran Church on Fernwood-Glendale Road. He and his wife, Kitty, reside at 769 Kenmore Drive. They are the parents of Isaiah and Rachel. He has earned a B. A. in psychology from San Diego State University and an M. Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary. The United States Army veteran served at Fort Bragg in the mid seventies. He enjoys reading, playing the guitar and fishing. He has an interest in history and old movies. He claims to have more hair than either of his older brothers. The Civitan-of-the-Week is John Rickert.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Leadership training for Club officers is scheduled for Saturday, August 5. This training will take place at the First Presbyterian Church in Columbia. A barbecue lunch will be served. A second session is scheduled for Saturday, August 26 for those who find it impossible to attend on August 5.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors will meet in August at Papa Sam's Breakfast Nook. The meeting will be at 5:30 P. M., Tuesday, August 15.

DISTRICT CONVENTION
The South Carolina District Civitan Convention will be held at Embassy Suites in Columbia beginning Friday, September 15 and concluding on Sunday morning, September 17. Civitans may preregister by calling 803-252-8700 prior to August 16.

USHERING
There is an ushering opportunity at Twichell Auditorium tomorrow morning. This is Converse College's summer school graduation. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please see Bill Brown.
