April 19 Program: Stewart Ellison, the Regional Sales Manager for the SC Education Lottery explained the process steps that were taken in setting up the lottery in SC. Ed Griffith shared that the "Civitan at the Helm" program is a fund-raising opportunity for the Civitan International Research Center. Civitan International Foundation has made a one-million dollar commitment to the Center.

CIVITAN OF THE WEEK: Kim F. Whisnant

Our Civitan of the Week is employed with Personnel Solutions. Kim is married to Greg Whisnant, Jr. Kim and Greg are the 'servants' of a dog, "Scratch" and two cats, "Gracie" and "Alex". Kim enjoys reading, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family. Kim envisions Spartanburg as a peaceful and prosperous community within a Country that works, plays, and most importantly, prays together. Although Kim is a very new member to our Club, she is actively involved in supporting our events and programs. We are very fortunate to have Kim as a member--we will all gain energy from her vivacious spirit and her cheerful demeanor.

Sponsorships are being secured, but more are welcome.
