And it rained, and it rained, and it rained. The Civitan spirit was not dampened, nor were the mighty spirits of those who participated in the 5K race. Many thanks to all of you who gave up the dry warmth of your homes to help with this fun event.

CIVITAN OF THE WEEK: Mary Ellen Wright
Our Civitan of the Week is employed with the Piedmont Fair Association. Mary Ellen is also a Professional Legal Secretary (retired) and holds a Paralegal Degree. Tony Wright claims the honor of being married to this energetic lady. Mary Ellen enjoys reading and horseback riding. Although she is a newer member of our Club, Mary Ellen has plunged herself into the service and spirit of our group. She was instrumental in securing financial support for the Spring Fling Sprint and graciously volunteers for our many extracurricular activities and programs. Mary Ellen brings many talents to our Club. Her dedication and sparkle highlight the compassion of her heart.
