A THOUGHT TO CARRY WITH YOU:
A rattlesnake, if cornered, will become so angry it will bite itself. That is exactly what the harboring of hate and resentment against others is--a biting of oneself. We think that we are harming others in holding these spites and hates, but the deeper harm is to ourselves.
E. Stanley Jones
CIVITAN OF THE WEEK: Scott L. Brown
Our Civitan of the Week is employed with Bomar Printing. Scott and his wife, Dana, are the courageous parents of two teenagers, daughter Morgan and son Kellen. Enjoying sports is a particular interest of our featured Civitan along with his interest in cooking, camping, and helping others. Scott currently serves on the Board as Director of Fellowship and Attendance and also serves on the Charles Lea Center Committee. As an avid supporter of our programs and projects, Scott assists with the 5K Run, the Charles Lea Annual Plant Sale, Special Olympics, and even volunteers to usher when his schedule permits. Scott's greatest attribute to our membership is his desire to move our Club forward with new possibilities and genuine enthusiasm. His good humor and loyal friendship are just two of his qualities we treasure.

None! Isn't it nice to not have anything to remember?
There will be no meeting on July 5. I hope each of you enjoy a wonderful July 4th. I miss you so much and can't wait to be back 'home'. Drive safely if your are traveling over the weekend and please be especially aware of the fire danger during our long dry-spell.
