A THOUGHT TO CARRY WITH YOU:
I am convinced that my life belongs to the whole community; and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can, for the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I got hold of for a moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before turning it over to future generations.

CIVITAN OF THE WEEK: George M. Drummond
Our Civitan of the Week is a self-employed Realtor and ballroom dance instructor at the Shepherd's Center. George is married to Rachel, they are the parents of G. Wayne and Debbie D. Tomlinson. They have three grandchildren. George is a life-long resident of Spartanburg County and is excited about the revitalization of our downtown. George is a loyal member of Civitans and invites those members who can break free from their busy schedules to join him in his Thursday afternoon dance classes. George currently serves on the New Projects and Charles Lea Center Committees. George was instrumental in coordinating the landscaping improvements at Camp Mary Elizabeth and works diligently to bring new projects to the attention of his fellow members. We appreciate your loyal service, George, and our prayers are with you as you faithfully dedicate yourself to caring for Rachel.
