CIVITAN OF THE WEEK: William H. Hunsucker

Our Civitan of the Week is retired from Milliken & Company. Bill and his energetic wife, Margaret are the parents of Susan Dean, Anne Braddy, Debra Hartsell, William Hunsucker, Jr., and Pamm Broome. At last count, they also boast of nine grandchildren. When Bill is not traveling to exotic destinations, or playing Bridge at the beach, he enjoys walking, square dancing, and camping. Bill is one of our Club's many assets. He is skilled at fund-raising and volunteer recruiting for our Club's projects. Bill serves on the Board as Director of Operations and Planning. He also serves on the Publicity and Club Bulletin, Golf, and Civitan Workshop Committees. Bill's wit, wisdom, and good humor provide a sweet relish for our meetings and the perfect spice to our fellowship.

Our Club is extremely grateful for the contribution to our scholarship fund made possible by the Civitan Club of Spartanburg Golf Tournament. Bill Ferguson read a very touching Thank-You Note from Jessica McCracken, a recent recipient of our scholarship funds. Our 'Civitan Hats' are off to John Polydorou for his dedication and hard work. He is truly an Unsung Hero of our Club. Without his perseverance, the Golf Tournament could not have taken place and our Scholarship Fund would not be helping students like Jessica realize their potential.

Next Meeting - September 6: Leslie Ferguson Horvath will be our leader through a time for observance of September 11.
