OCCASIONS TO CELEBRATE!

There are no members' birthdays or anniversaries this week.

February 21 Program: Pat Fluharty, Executive Director of the Cancer Association of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties was here to share some startling statistics and facts relating to cancer. Pat also brought some teaching tools that provided a 'hands-on' demonstration of warning signs to look for.

GREETERS FOR March 14: Bill Hunsucker and John Polydorou

THANK YOU FOR VISITING AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOON:

Bob Hammett, Jr. - Friend and Guest of Sherry Hoffmann

Richard Bayne - Friend and Guest of Judy Wilson

Our prayers and deepest sympathies are extended to Vicki Robinson and her family on the death of Billy's father. We also keep Terri Wray in our prayers as she regains strength and recovers from heart problems.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:

We didn't inherit the Earth from our parents. We're borrowing it from our children.

WE HONOR OUR CIVITAN OF THE WEEK: W. Keith Parris

Our Civitan of the Week is retired from the Spartanburg County Board of Education. Keith is married to Louise and they are the loving parents of Kevin, Lynn, and Billy. They are the busy grandparents of four. Keith is a graduate of Wofford College and Furman University. He served in the US Army at Fort Benning and in Korea. As our Club Treasurer, Keith is often tied up with our Club's ledgers and books, but manages to also 'balance' his time with golf and travel. Keith served as President of our Club in 1993 and currently serves on the Trust Fund, Scholarship, Growth & Retention, and Past Presidents Committees. Keith's careful attention to detail and his loyalty to our Club's programs and projects remind us of what it means to be a dedicated, active member of Civitan. Thanks, Keith, we appreciate your service and leadership.
