SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:
I hope that my achievements in life shall be these--that I will have fought for what was right and fair, that I will have risked for that which mattered, and that I will have given help to those who were in need, that I will have left the earth a better place for what I've done and who I've been.
C. Hoppe
WE HONOR OUR CIVITAN OF THE WEEK: Mary Ellen Wright
Our Civitan of the Week is the Executive Assistant of the Piedmont Interstate Fair Association. Mary Ellen is married to Tony and they are members of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Besides being an Executive Assistant, Mary Ellen is also a Certified Legal Secretary. Reading and horseback riding are two of her favorite activities. A member of our club since 2000, Mary Ellen has plunged herself into supporting our programs and projects. She is Chairman of the Junior Civitan and Scrapbook Committees. She also serves on the Publicity and Club Bulletin and Golf Committees. In addition to those duties, she has agreed to be our club Treasurer in 2004 and is busy learning her duties from her devoted mentor, Keith Parris. Mary Ellen's enthusiasm, dedication, and joyful spirit are valuable assets for our Club.
