PROGRAM NOTES FROM- January 9:

President Bill Brown led us in a Business Meeting of the Civitan Club of Spartanburg.  Reports were given by John Few for the Civitan Rehabilitation Workshop, Keith Parris for the Scholarship Program, Fred Lockman for Membership and Growth, Bryan Bobo, Special Olympics, Peter Fenn for Fruitcake Project, and Connie Melton for the Ushering Project.

Our Civitan of the Week is a native of Cyprus, Greece.  John is a representative with New York Life Insurance Company and a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.  John is a graduate of Wofford College and Clemson University.  He is also the father of Christopher and grandfather of two.  When he takes the time to relax, John enjoys playing golf and fishing.  John has been a member of our Club since 1971.  John served as President in 1996-1997 and works fervently each year to insure the success of our Golf Tournaments.  John's kind heart and good humor are qualities that bring honor to our Club and joy to our membership.  John, your fine example serves as beacon for all of us.  Thank you for your loyal and dedicated service and friendship.
