A THOUGHT TO GROW ON:

Ideals are like stars:  you will not succeed in touching them with your hands, but like the seafaring man on the desert of waters, you choose them as your guides, and following them you reach your destiny.

                                                                        Politician and Journalist (1829-1906)

WE APPLAUD OUR CIVITAN OF THE WEEK:       James Smith

Our Civitan of the Week is.as close to a mystery member as anyone in our club.  After having made some calls to other members, I still don't know much that I can share with you.  Perhaps one day he could be our speaker and tell us all about himself.  Jim and his wife, Tracy, are members of the First Presbyterian Church.  They have recently built a new home.  And that's all folks!!  Jim has been a member of our Club since 1989 and currently serves as Chairperson of the Constitution and By-Laws Committee.  He also serves on the Growth and Retention Committee.  One thing I do know, Jim has a wonderful sense of humor and we are grateful for his loyalty and friendship.
