THE CIVITAN CLUB OF SPARTANBURG WELCOMES:

Today we are pleased to welcome Heidi Bolliger.  Heidi will be sharing with us about the International Impact on Spartanburg for the past 40 years.

OUR GREETERS TODAY:                       Connie Melton and Leonard Still

BEST WISHES FOR YOUR SPECIAL DAY!

Have you heard the saying, “Computers are wonderful when they’re working?”  Well, it’s true.  My computer is undergoing its transformation.  Which means my data is still inaccessible.  So….if you have something to celebrate, stand up and be recognized!!!

GREETERS FOR April 2:              John Polydorou and Vicki Robinson

PROGRAM NOTES FROM – March 19

Our Speaker was Jack Roper, Weatherman, from News Channel 7.  Jack entertained our group with his good humor, tricks, and a variety of topics.  I understand that Libby was convinced of the Power of Positive Thinking.

A THOUGHT TO GROW ON:

"The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an eggs-and-ham breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."                                                              - unknown

WE APPLAUD OUR CIVITAN OF THE WEEK:            “Pat Doe”

Our Civitan of the Week is someone whom we are proud to count as friend.  Pat reaches out to in service to others and doesn’t look for loud praise or noisy recognition.  Pat responds when there is a cry for help or an unmet need.  Our Club has grown because of the other concerned and dedicated members Pat has brought into our fellowship.  Pat never has to be asked, and certainly never needs to be begged, to volunteer for Civitan projects.  Pat simply understands that volunteering is a part of what keeps our Civitan club strong.  When you are someone like Pat, serving is a privilege—not a burden.  Do you know a “Pat” you could invite to become a member of our Club?  Could you be a “Pat” if you tried just a little harder?

MELTON’S “BELIEVE IT OR NOT”

The Spartanburg Ballet is presenting a really exciting evening of dance on April 16th and 17th and there are some of you who are not interested.  What?  Yes, some of you have failed to sign up for either one or both nights.  Remember that I need at least 11 people for each night?  Well…I don’t have that many.  If we fail, there are clubs out there that want our job.  Please help.  Sign the sheet, today.

NEXT MEETING – April 2:  Our Speaker will be Tracy Crocket, the Life Motivator.  Tracy will be sharing “You’ve got the Power, use it!”
