PROGRAM NOTES FROM – July 9
Our Speaker was Susan
Turpin, Executive Director of the Spartanburg County Historical
Association. Susan shared interesting
facts about past happenings and exciting plans for the future.
WE ARE HONORED BY YOUR VISIT AND
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOON.
I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance than I would have been by any epaulet I could have worn.

OUR CLUB HONORS AN EXCEPTIONAL CIVITAN
Scott Brown
Our
President Elect is currently in the hospital with blood clots in his
lungs. He is being treated with blood
thinners and bed rest. Our fervent
prayers pour out for his healing, for wisdom for his medical caregivers and for
strength for his family and friends.
Scott is an amazing friend. He’s
always there when you need him and sometimes even before you realize you have a
need. He can make you laugh and see
life at its best when all you truly wanted to do was hide away. He is working diligently to make plans for
our Club’s positive future. Please join
me in praying Scott through this illness and back to our Club.
Please put
September 11 on your calendar right now!
Plan to bring a friend that you have been thinking about asking to join our
Club. What a wonderful way to wind down
from the Summer heat and hectic schedules!
