A THOUGHT TO GROW ON:

Life is an exciting business, and most exciting when lived for others.  I am a pencil in the hand of God.

WE APPLAUD OUR CIVITAN OF THE WEEK:       Ed Griffin

Our Civitan of the Week is retired from Spartan Mills as the Telecommunications Manager.  He is a United States Army veteran of World War II where he served in Europe.  He and his wife Belle are the parents of Eddie and John.  Ed is a Business Administration graduate of the University of South Carolina and a member of First Presbyterian Church where he has served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, and elder.  As a Civitan, Ed serves with a fierce dedication to all our projects and programs.  He has served on the Board of Directors and faithfully volunteers to usher at nearly all our Twichell events.  We are fortunate to know Ed as a fellow Civitan and as a friend.  (Picture this fellow without the briefcase and hat and that is Ed flying across the lobby of Twichell to take his place at the Handicap Entrance.)  Thanks, Ed, for all you do.
